@paul simply because plugins such as flash on mobile browsers are not practical or work well. Standalone flash games and apps will still roll out, but flash in a mobile browser is a memory hog, crashes frequently, and given all Apple mobile devices just show a blank page, just ain't strategically worth fighting about. HTML 5 is far easier coded and rendered. Controlaholics like Jobs was then can't block your content if just HTML...

Am extra happy about the death of Microsoft Sliverlight, an awful bloody thing!
